Canada faces USA this afternoon. Winner takes top spot in Group to end round robin play. Both teams have 3-0 records. Denmark will make the QF round, defending champs Finland have lost their 3 games played and will miss the QF round.

Go Canada!

Medal round games go today.

Sweden vs. Russia in the Bronze medal game. Sweden has won all their round robin games over the past 10 years. Made it to the SF round all those times and won Gold only once. Ouch!

Canada plays the USA for Gold. Go Canada!

Next year the tourney will be in Buffalo. The Canada vs. USA round robin game will be held outdoors.

One heck of a game. Canada scored twice in the first, USA scored twice in the second. Canada scored twice in the third. The US then scored twice. 20 minutes of sudden-death, 5 on 5 OT didn't settle it, great chances for both sides to end it. One goal was scored in the fourth round of the 5 round shoot-out. Congrats USA on winning Gold.

Next match-up at World Jrs between Canada and US, will be an outdoor game in Buffalo Dec 29th, 2017. :duel:

ETA: I hate these types of games ending in a shoot-out. To me it would be akin to settling the Stanley Cup with a shoot-out (which better not ever happen). The play was exciting, end to end and it's a shame to end it with a shoot-out.

Sounds like a great game. I wonder if there would have been any chance of finding it on TV around here. Maybe with a satellite dish and a tres expensive sports package.

Maybe you can convince Mrs T you need that. Don't you have a mid-life crisis to go through? :P
