Geocaching Adventure

Postby Rommie » Sun Sep 01, 2013 2:00 pm

I know none of you guys are really into geocaching, but yesterday I went on a 49km tour with two friends and we found 56 of them. Put up some pics with descriptions about our day as it was a complete blast- one of those days you know you'll remember far into the future even as it's happening- so thought some of you might be keen to see a good ol' Dutch adventure. :) http://imgur.com/a/4pusT

So, a combination of land navigation, using longitude and latitude, and treasure hunting. Do you use a GPS? Or is that cheating? :P

In the army we use a compass, a map, and some good old fashioned luck.

Yup geocaching is where you use GPS units to find stuff hidden with latitude/longitude coordinates. If you do the compass thing to find hidden boxes that actually has a different name, letterboxing. :P
