Someone played a clip of SNL making fun of Ruth Bader Ginsberg and filmed her reaction. She found it hilarious. They asked her if they thought it was a good imitation of her. Nope. But she found it hilarious anyway.
The challenge with humor is that it is contextual, personal, cultural, and experience based. So, while I may find jokes about death and dying very funny others may find them macabre and tasteless. Which is why sometimes humor is a family joke.
