I read this when it happened, but just because it happened once doesn't mean to me that all Internet trolls are actually just softies wanting to be loved who will go away once confronted or whatever. And even if that's the case it doesn't mean they're assholes (or, also likely for a decent fraction, have mental issues that make it impossible to reason with them).

That said, of course many people suffer from the "people on the Internet aren't real people" mindset, as we all know.
Yes, I have a life. It's quite different from yours.
