I was Facebooking and learned that it's generally better for humanity if I stay here, so you walking mistakes are stuck with me.

haha.
You belong in this zoo anyway.
Way better meaningful conversation.
FB is either a circle jerk or flat out war when discussing anything other than pets or recipes.
Thanks for all the fish.

I'll use facebook as a storage bin for my renders. other than that I only see it as a social thing and i am seriously lacking in my ability to play nice. But even as old and derped up as I am, I'm loyal. protective, talented and still have a really firm ass.

dear ikyoto,

please stop fishing for compliments. your inability to play nicely with others is part of your charm. we wouldn't have it any other way.

I'm not dead either.

I'll whine in the usual place. :)

I'm glad y'all are back. I was starting to think this place was coming to an end. Hopefully, this means I was wrong.

As for Facebook, it sometimes reminds me of the old GLP forum - no moderation. The difference is, I'm ten years older than I was when I started hanging out on FWIS, and I no longer have the patience for trolls, so I just give up on "discussions" where people having reading comprehension issues.

I much prefer the way we discuss things here.

But I definitely like the good things about Facebook, so I'll keep it around for that.

Well Hell, if you need a troll, I'll volunteer. :)

The other thing about Facebook is that there are things I want to discuss that I don't want all my friends and relatives to see. Facebook is fine for sharing vacation pictures, or seeing the cake my grand-niece just made, but there are some things like politics and dirty jokes that I don't want to discuss with all of them.

Well, that goes without saying. Actually, I believe that is why the universe was invented.

well I haven't been very active either. For a long time FB served a purpose for our family in terms of making sure Paul was ok during the day.

But.... we had a situation arise where we both lost a friend because we kept a promise to someone else. It hurt like hell. But I cannot go back on promises I made as a minister - it's not that simple nor ethical. Note that we did not NOT keep our promises to the first person but apparently I didn't respond quickly enough even after getting in at 1 AM from a flight that was delayed by both weather and mechanical issues. Sleeping on the rug in phily is not my idea of fun.

Not sure what lesson I learned other than people are not always what they seem even after you've known them for a while.

My most charming trait is my amazing ability to hold back on protecting the few people I care about, ut i do apparently need to learn that not everyone is a threat that needs to be evaluated.

I'm a little surprised that no one has started the counter-thread entitled "Yup, I'm dead".
