I hadn't realized how completely incapacitating blunt impact to the testes can be, or the potential for soft-tissue damage from a hard kick. Probably because I've never experienced it, being a skinny dweeb with no interest in sports etc.

Having been on both sides of the shot (multiple times), I can attest to it's effects.

You are hit and everything stops. The fight, the urge to live, time...

And yes, if done correctly, can kill.

You want the occurrence to end? Pop him in the nuts. The ONLY pains I've flt worse were kiney stones and having a dental drill hit a live nerve.
