Absolutely! We saw it go. Then, we saw the second stage. And it just kept going. In retrospect, it was a bit like a roller coaster - the exciting part lasted about two minutes. But it was a very
long and enjoyable two minutes.
The other thing that should have been obvious to us from the start, but wasn't for some reason, is that you see it take off - and at ten miles away, it's way up in the sky before you hear anything. There was something both eerie and amazing about that.
Most surprising is that one time was definitely not enough for me. I want to experience this a few times. I actually shed tears as I watched it shoot into space, because this is one of the best things about what we humans have accomplished and I want to see it continue.
Did you know they're building rockets the size of the Saturn series, and they'll be launching one in November of 2018? We definitely want to see that. Maybe you can too!
