So uh this is horrifying: someone attempted to poison the entire city of Oldsmar, FL by hacking into their water treatment plant and boosting the amount of lye being injected x100 or so.

People are fucking weird.
Also, this actually happens more often than you'd think. I remember when I was a kid we had to not use water from the tap for drinking for a few days because some disgruntled worker poured something into the supply- IIRC it was nowhere near enough to actually cause damage, most likely, but was enough they put out a boil warning.
