Puerto Rico

Postby geonuc » Sat Jun 01, 2013 12:52 pm

I need to use a Delta credit and I'm thinking of hopping a flight to Puerto Rico for a weekend. But what to do there? I want to see Arecibo and El Yunque - anything else I should do?

The El Yunque National Forest is supposed to be a good attraction. :D

LOL. You guys suck as travel advisors. I say I'd like to see Arecibo and El Yunque and those are the only two suggestions I get for other stuff to do.

Well, I've been in V.A. for two years now.
Things to do here consist of driving over the border to visit titty bars because they can't have them here.
So my travel recommendations would be pretty crappy. :P

I've never been so I know little about the place. My wife went once with her mom, I think they also liked walking around Old San Juan.

I figure I can do Arecibo and the rainforest on a Saturday. I'll check out Wikitravel. Thanks.

This is all very tentative anyway - I've had to work a lot of weekends recently.

Go sailing/fishing?
Not sure if that's your thing or not but that's what I'd be doing.

I'm not big on fishing and I couldn't sail a boat across a pond without it going all Titanic on me. But I do like to go along for the ride while others fish & sail.

That looks good!

I think I'm going to put off going to PR until my SO can go with me. Instead, I'm looking at St Augustine.
