And not just her. Totally normal and okay stuff going on in the Republican party right now.

Fortunately, the US public is getting increasingly tired of these creeps, which is is part of why they've done badly in every federal election since Trump. Unfortunately, they fully understand this, and will only double and redouble their efforts towards permanent minority rule. They would turn the US into something like Iran, and at this point I still think they are likely to achieve that.

What I find wild about a lot of this is how clearly this kind of shit does not resonate with enough voters that you can win elections off of it except for a few insane pockets. Like if you look at the newly elected Reps who got the house Republican for the next session, they are far from these idiots because they know no Republican is going to win in Long Island like MTG. Despite that, the Republicans are more than willing to make a coalition with truly insane and dangerous people and rationalize it away. That to me is much more dangerous- people who know better but cynically think they can control the rabid right wing.

Oh yes. It's not even like this is a first time - when Hitler came to power, it was the "sensible", cynical business leaders who backed him. And at the end of the day, many of them did get away with it.
