Looks like the results of the Poll I got by email were at least partly right.

Should protests end? Polls suggest so (Updated)

The blog post claims that the polls they are displaying are from a Pollster that tends to favor the Government.

Next time somebody starts bitching that letting US inflation go up to 4% would be a disaster, show them this image

Venezuelan inflation in one simple image

Ladies and Gentlemen: THAT is inflation, 4% annual inflation? you wouldn't even feel it.

Oh Goody!, Unasur just told Nicky to go play nice with the Opposition and Nicky said yes!

Venezuela's Maduro agrees to Unasur-brokered opposition talks

Everyone hold out your hands and sing "We are the World!, We are the Children!"

Well, I'll be damned.

1 cubic foot of hot air is a measure of how reliable is anything Nicky Ripe's says.

Our currency is valued at .13456789 cubic inches of hot air.

And the Parody of Dialogue continues.....

Venezuela's fading dreams

While there may now be some hope that the government and some members of the opposition will engage in dialogue, the language from both sides has been worryingly bellicose and divisive.

In a country still deeply divided by class and ideology, many feel that Hugo Chavez's dream of a socialist utopia in Venezuela may be fading.

Right, cause we had a socialist utopia to begin with.......

To dream the impossible dream
To fight the unbeatable foe
To bear with unbearable sorrow
To run where the brave dare not go.

Chavez! Chavez! Chavez!

Wait, what? It's not Cesar Chavez?

I see it's the second time Pooty used the tactic of sending out-of-uniform Russkie soldiers (or so it seems) to occupy Ukranian assets.

Very interesting

Because if the US REALLY wanted to get rid of Nicky it would pay the Colombians and the Panamanians to do something like that.........

Too obvious. And if it was the U.S. doing it our own home grown US bashers would be storming the white house to protest our heavy handed "Empire Building".

Right, so all it does to get rid of Nicky is spend 5 MILLION dollars to send Evil Imperialist Envoys to confer with NGOs and gets its envoys kicked out of the country.

For an Evil Imperialist, Oil Grubbing, Super Power you sure work like the Keystone Kops. :P

The Chinese would be better at it than you damned Gringos, They'd lend us money so we can buy their trinkets and pay it with Oil with top priority, even over our country's needs. Oh Wait......

I just read on a local paper that the number of people contacting US immgration lawyers exploring the possibility of immigrating to the US by claiming Political Asylum has increased significantly.

Well, look what I found:

AILA Answers Questions on Political Asylum for Venezuelan Nationals

Following Misleading Report, AILA South Florida Warns Venezuelans about the Dangers of Frivolous Asylum Applications

And the fact that you admitted it is a smoking gun. Just like 5 MILLION spent by the Evil Imperialist US State Department to encourage the "Economic War" that caused our scarcity problems and inflation :P

There's a saying down here that goes: "El que se mete a Redentor sale Crucificado", which literally means "He who tries to be a Saviour ends up crucified". Roughly equivalent to "No Good Deed Goes Unpunished".

Indeed

This is getting damned Orwellian....

How Maduro Is Interfering in Venezuela's Schools

And looking at the pretty pictures that illustrate the copy of the constitution given to school kids don't make me very confident on the impartialilty of the idea.

Actually you'd be surprised how many of those are similar to a US history textbook by my recollection, just sub in George Washington. Conclude what you will. :geek:
