Too early to tell,

First of all, I am pretty sure that the current Assembly will enact an enabling law that will allow Nicky to enact laws without the Assembly approving them for at least a year.

Second, the Chavistas have been busy trying to force 13 justices to retire to make sure they keep control of the Supreme Court.

From that we get the wonderful term tramparency, transparent dirty tricks. It has come to this then.

From what I hear from my sister, all over Government offices, upper level managers are enraged that they lost and they're blaming the employees who didn't go out and vote for the revolution. It doesn't get any more transparent than that.

I am convinced that the only chavista with any pretense for brains was Chavez himself.

They got their ass handed to them in the last election, so you'd think they could let the opposition screw up as a way to deflect the call for a referendum next year. But NO, they decided to challenge the election of 22 assembly members as away to make things unworkable while we run the risk of default. It actually works in favor of the opposition. They DON'T have to do anything and they can now whine all they want that we need a referendum.

Since your rightwing nutjobs use US as a cautionary tale of letting "liberals" run things, your left wing nutjobs could use US as a cautionary tale of letting idiots take over the right wing. You're welcome. My fee is ONE MILLION dollars, that way I can relocate to a country that at least has low inflation.

Oh, btw Aporrea insists that the supreme court has NOT received any complaints regarding those 22 assembly seats. I guess we'll find out next week.

Nope, we have elections, what we don't have is Separation of Powers, we have 'Separation of Powers'

Why cheat on elections when you can suspend them before they get invested?

now, now sigma. be reasonable. try hard. very hard. cleansing breath. another.

how can you question fisher's superiority? you've just said (i'll leave out the insults although i'm sure that he'd say that they were compliments.) that it's his fault. if he has such power over you then he must be superior. qed

calm down, sigma. (or do you want to be called ariel? why not prospero?) we really should make a point of defining terms before we launch off into these discussions. i'm in no position to speak to your (or our) spirituality. however, i'll gladly agree that you're linguistically superior. feeling better?
