Time to become a pothead

MN is poised to make Marijuana legal in very limited medical cases. The good news: I qualify two times over!I have epilepsy and Crohn's Disease, which are two of the conditions it covers. Whoo--hooo.

But seriously....I don't have any intention of using it. I've actually never taken a puff of anything in my life and I never intend to. But I am glad this will be made legal in my state, at the very least to help those in need. There have not been many studies done, but there are reports of children having seizure activity significantly reduced by using marijuana.

And for the broader story of legality, I fully support it. But that's a discussion for another year in MN. It was hard enough to get this limited use bill passed.

I didn't know you had epilspsy pumpkinpi :( I thought you drive though?

I can say after living a few years in a city with legal pot there's really nothing really crazy that comes from it because, well, stoners are rather chill people who don't get up to much. ;)

"No stems, no seeds that you don't need - Acapulco Gold is a badass weed."

Old '70s jingle. Thought it appropriate. Go pot.

I think it should be banned because it makes me feel sick.
Don't care about anyone else, it's all about me!

Seriously though, Pumpkin, some people love the stuff and it makes them feel better.
It may work for you. You can also ingest it if you don't want to inhale.
It really does make me totally sick. I just want to throw up smelling it.
But until you try it you just don't know how it will affect you personally.
Not that I'm suggesting you do it, just letting you know from someone first hand that it can make you sick like you you've never been sick before.
Once in a while if my back really cramped I would smoke it but I had to be really desperate and in agony.

I have a very mild form, controlled by medicine, so I am cleared to drive.

I am fortunate that for me this disease is no more than the hassle of two pills a day and one doctor appointment per year.

Yeah, maybe you shouldn't visit me then. :P

I'm not saying the whole city smells like pot, but you definitely will get a few wiffs of it when going past a coffeeshop on a nice day. Which was kinda funny when my parents were visiting and they were wondering what that smell was...

Actually, I rather liked pot, back in my college days, though I don't think I used it more than a dozen times in my entire life, and haven't since then (too nervous about quality control and law enforcement). I never had a hangover or got sick from weed. I had some pretty funny experiences on it.

Reminds me of my naivety when I was younger.
I was 4 wheel drivinf...in a two wheel drive car and we stopped for the night deep in a forest.
We needed kindling so we looked around and got some.
Had a weird smell. gave us all headaches.
A few years later I was at a party and smelled the same thing.
A guy was smoking weed.
We laughed at finding a someones crop and burning it for kindling. lol

I don't think that was marijuana you burned as kindling. It would make lousy kindling and it doesn't 'give everybody a headache'. Probably you burned something like gum (eucalyptus).

I agree. You don't get a headache from smoking pot. If you told me you started getting really hungry, on the other hand, I might believe you. ;)

There wan't enough smoke to get high. The kindling was the leaves and some stalks.
It wasn't eucalyptus as I know what that smells and tastes like, I was drinking it as tea back then.
Still like it once in a while.
Headaches could have been from the smoke in our eyes as well.
Smell was the same though and I've been around it long enough now to know the smell.
It makes me gag.
