Water should be privatized

Postby SciFi Chick » Sat Jun 28, 2014 1:45 pm

It's not a human write according to the head of the Nestle group.

He says it like it's the most reasonable thing in the world, and he calls people who think water is a human right extreme.

I pulled this video out of an article that leaned a bit too far to the woo woo side of things, because I think the video speaks well enough for itself.

I thought we'd all decided at Nuremberg that people have a right not to be crushed out of existence?

(That's the line I throw at most Libertarians BTW.)

Kidding, kidding. I know that's only honored in the breach. But it's still shocking to me that opinions like that are considered even remotely acceptable. He is supporting hydraulic dictatorship for God's sake, I don't see how one can possibly put a good spin on that.

Well my Dear Mr. Mono,

In Brian de Palma's version of the Untouchables. Al Capone (Played by Robert de Niro) does exactly that to a minion during a dinner party....

I remember that scene. Nothing quite captures the image of total ruthlessness and brutality like a good baseball bat beating. Of course, the fact that it is totally fatal also lends to the sheer viciousness of it. The fact that he used a bat also makes it very personal in a way that a tommy gun cannot acheive.

Of course I'd recommend that he say, "nothing personal, it's just business" before doing it to add that twist to the deed.

It's actually a really good movie, and it's based on a true story. It stars Kevin Costner and Andy Garcia, and that scene is not done graphically, unlike how it would be handled in today's world.
