At a rally Sunday night, United Mine Workers of America President Cecil Roberts came out hard for Lamb, calling him "a God-fearing, union-supporting, gun-owning, job-protecting, pension-defending, Social Security-believing, health care-creating and sending-drug-dealers-to-jail Democrat."

I think he's also said prolife, but only personally, so I guess that's why it's not part of the list

He ran a smart race. 10 years ago he probably would have ran as a Republican. These days if you are a moderate Republican you have to run as a Democrat. :P

He probably really is more moderate or conservative than a typical Democrat/Liberal/Progressive from someplace like Seattle.

Fun thing, a close family friend went to high school with Lamb- Central Catholic, where all the good Catholic families send their boys in Pittsburgh. :) I definitely want to ask him what Lamb was like next time we cross paths!
