Yeah, but is it all that surprising? A lot of gender norms are tied into what it means to be "conservative" these days.

I personally just never got why people were so obsessed about Greta in particular. OMG an idealistic teenager doing what she cares about! That never happens! :roll: Makes you wonder if those people were ever teenagers themselves.

Re Greta: I think because she's a teenage girl "not knowing her place" and making adults (esp. men) feel guilty about stuff, so of course they have to despise her to feel good about themselves. Her being visibly autistic probably doesn't help their sense of innate superiority either. But IDK.

I doubt that they feel guilty but i definitely agree with the rest. now why do i keep thinking about joan of arc?
