Almost 20 years after 9/11, we're still doing this shit.

Of course, since state secrets are secret, this would mean they could just kill anyone without oversight and say "Nuh-uh, we can't tell you!" when asked why. Always, always, always that same fucking power trip bullshit. Strip away all the pomp and glory and Sense Of Duty, and you'll find the same greedy little pigs who know that their children will never be assassinated, so fuck everyone else.
