Absolutely batshit stuff, literally in this case.
What extra sucks is Steward has also been very active in my own home state of Massachusetts. My hometown had one of their hospitals, and it sucked. I wound up there twice. The first time I was stuck in an isolation room for 8 hours; the second they tried to foist a morphine IV on me after I told them I was not in any pain, and they were so slow (despite the ER being almost empty) that I wound up signing myself out and walking home.
I want to emphasize though: people are dying because of stuff like this. When private equity firms take over hospitals, people die as the hospitals are stripped bare to buy additional yachts for the executives. There is a reason people of my generation have a rep as loud, angry socialists.
