Pretty crazy stuff going on there which one can easily miss if not paying attention-link

For those who don't know, unlike many other countries down there Turkey is really quite "normal." I was there last year, and Taskim Square is this giant party/ going out square; this is the equivalent of if violent protests suddenly broke out in Times Square or Picadilly Circus.

Mass protests at the coming of Thanksgiving.
If we all act now, by November we can have a slaughter free holiday.
