Of course the cable companies say it won't make a difference... Just words. Vacuous words. They're corporations. They'll do anything for money.

Yeah, if you thought internet access was a privilege here so far...

You know... it bothers me that American courts (which are often very dodgy in their reasoning and biases) have so much control over an international entity. Even if net neutrality were law here (and I don't think it is... not sure, though), what are the chances Comcast would throttle access to whatever it can for people outside the US? Or that it would enter partnerships with Canadian ISPs? Pretty good, I think.

National laws are a terrible framework for internet regulation. There should be an international agreement.
