Moving a bit out in the country a while back, it was our first experience with a well and water softener system. I slowly learned how things worked and kept things going until things needed replaced. I got talked into this Cadillac system from Hague Water that was supposed to be the be all end all. It cost way too much. Then it needed an expensive service call about every other year for leakage and other issues. I got frustrated then got hooked up with a nice young tech that explained to me what was happening and why. The solution? Spend a bunch more money for a bunch new filtering equipment to the excitement of Mrs. T. Now twice in the last month, I'm still having an issue. The brine tank overfills. (For those unfamiliar with softener systems, it doesn't matter. Just know that your basement starts to flood with salty water.)
I texted my tech last night about it. And he ended up showing up here this morning and tried to sleuth things out. Not sure if we have it solved but at least we have a couple theories. And I really appreciate having Austin on speed dial to council me or even sneak over when things go south, and no $200 service calls every time someone comes down the drive.
But after $10,000, I'm getting really tired of shop vaccing salty water out of my basement.
