Today my house was suddenly beset upon by dozens of flies. They're accumulating around the windows and generally buzzing all over the place... We've had to kill and dispose of at least 30 since this morning. No idea whether they're hatching inside or coming in from outside, or (if the latter) where the hell they're getting in.

Any advice?

If this were a movie you would be calling an exorist.

On a more practical note double check to make sure they haven't been provided with an impromptu breeding ground in the house somewhere. trash or a small rodent body somewhere may be the source. You can go on a fly swatting mania. Fly strips are sometimes helpful. Or you can buy a can of raid and play "ambush the fly".

Yeah, as far as I can tell there are no dead mice or anything in the house. It seems like the flies are coming in from outside somehow? But I have no idea where.

Anyway there aren't so many appearing right now for some reason. Bizarre.

Did you move to Australia without telling us????

Our house is filling up with dog peter flies...
