General whining

Coming off a decent Pennsic? Check.
Vehicle troubles/repairs going to and coming from Pennsic? Check.
Multiple vehicle repairs in the months prior to Pennsic? Check.
Spouse's health continuing to tank despite being on the specialist "merry go-round"? Check.
Last minute spasm trying to get Honorable Son registered for community college...largely because he took a casual attitude toward getting stuff done? Check.
Attempting fund said attempt at Higher Education, due to significant, unforeseen fiscal demands earlier in the year? Check.
Having difficulty getting financial aid/student loans because I'm "comfortably middle class" (whatever the hell that means...)? Check.
Less than 60 days until the end of the current DoD Fiscal Year, with *no* information on the funding landscape for follow up work at the Lab available yet? Check. (This means budget information that is usually available in May still hasn't been distributed, leaving no time for Contracting to get things through before *lots* of projects run out of funds.)
Likelihood of lay-off/dismissal of professionals currently on staff because of the above dynamic? Unknown at this time, but I'm not making any bets... (And I lose them, the company doesn't need me.)
Fuck me in the heart.
Disclaimer: None of this is a patch on what Loresinger and Ikyoto-san are facing, so I feel mildly guilty about pissing and moaning about it. But it does help reduce internal pressure.
