SpaceX's Demo Crew capsule successfully splashed down after a successful launch and docking with the ISS. The US is one big step closer to putting people in space again.
To be honest, I had kinda of forgotten that re entry was going to be this morning. I had a co worker remind me and was able to watch the coverage live. They had infrared footage of the capsule coming down. And when the drogues popped out, and the directors and technicians cheered, I got a little emotional. It's a pretty neat accomplishment.

Oh, I forgot about that! I got up in the middle of the night to watch the launch last weekend, and I watched hatch closing yesterday.
And I brought to work my Earth plush, the same one that is now on ISS and probably has its own twitter handle and youtube channel.
(They've apparently sold out worldwide, but I've had mine for 5 years. And our museum store still has a few.)

This is so exciting. Not the Earth plush part, the Dragon part. I can't wait for the crew launch this summer!
