I have a nice little full function scientific calculator. Hex, oct, bin, dec, the various square/cube and related root functions, x to the y power, the associated roots, and a gazillion other things I have to look at in the directions to remember how to use because I use them so infrequently.
I still have the little LCD 3-button-battery powered 4-function calculator I bought away back when to help me with my log book when I was a truck driver. Bought it at a truck stop in Illinois back in '77 or so IIRC. Kept the receipt.
Just shy of $40....
Things do change...
