Hey Rommie, are you familiar with Lisa Kaltenegger? I was reading a quick article in Time this week while waiting my turn to get hammered and drilled by the dentist. And then today, a buddy sent me a story about the GPI. Seems like progress in the study of exoplanets is growing by leaps and bounds on several fronts. I was surprised I had not heard of her. She seems quite renowned.

Hey, I remember Beta Pictoris. People were wondering if it had planets when I was a kid... Guess that's answered now.

I've heard the name.

Exoplanets are sexy right now, and lots of money in it, and last week was the AAS (annual giant astronomy meeting). So if she presented some new results there and there was a press release about it, not at all surprising you'd see the same name several places.

Should that be abbreviated AGAM, not AAS?
