I was out at the club radio station tonite, just unpressurizing and abusing the ionosphere, when the
station manager walked in with a big box of plaques.
These are various awards we've won for contests, and Worked All States (WAS) on various frequency bands and using specified modes (voice, morse code, digital).
As you can see, we've been doin' it to it quite well...
This is one we're very proud of. This is the first place hi power award in the 2012 ARRL November Sweepstakes , Great Lakes Division ( a rather prestigious
US-based ham radio contest). Our buddy Dave, the contest group 'founder', passed away a few months back -- this is the last contest he was able
to come out and work with us. There are five call signs on that plaque, and Dave's is center stage. Gone, but never to be forgotten...
