The possessed is the groom, not the bride. The malicious spirit is related to a violent death, not lack of religion. The priest does not have the answers. Jewish characters actually exist, and are integral to the plot. War crimes by Christians are actually talked about.

It makes me want to watch this film just on principle.

(Can't believe the director committed suicide though. At 42, no less. Why is it always the good ones who die young?!)
