AutonomousSensory Meridian Response is what they're calling it when you get shivers or goose pimples from certain types of sounds. Some people think it's baloney, some people think it's spiritual, some think it's just biology and want grant money to investigate it - as if it's something new.
I do get "tingles" as many refer to it from these videos. For some, these things are caused by specific trigger sounds. For me, it can be sounds, but all I have to do is think about it. I never realized it was a thing, assumed everyone felt those jacuzzi bubble sensations at times. It's relaxing, though some people report disliking it.
Here's a youtube video of several triggers. It helps to wear headphones, many videos are binaural, using stereo mics or ear-shaped mics.
Anyone else have this reaction? Thoughts?
