Confessions

People you like/love that you're ashamed/embarrassed/expecting people to sneer at you.

Ke$ha. Used to hate her, but after she went into rehab for an eating disorder, I took a deeper look, and she is fucking awesome/talented. I love her. She's my new Eminem.

Shut up Husband. :P

I don't think Nickelback is as bad as people say. There's a lot worse that doesn't get the same level of ire. Nickelback is just bland, not hateworthy.

I actually love Nickelback, in spite of the fact that a lot of times, when one of their songs come on, I'm actually not sure which one it is, because a lot of them sound alike.

Erasure is my all time favorite.

I love most of George Michael/Wham' songs.

I really like 10 I reaction '"Story of My Life."

Smashing Pumpkins anyone?

Billy Corgan is an awful lyricist, but he can write a catchy melody.

Some of their songs.
I tend to like or dislike a piece of music as opposed to liking or disliking a band or performer.
Though there are exceptions where I dislike everything a given band/performer has produced but no exceptions where I like every song a band/performer has produced.

The latter would be "Dire Straights", AC/DC, The Angels and as noted above but more technically correct, Neil Diamond as examples.

Nickelback is fine.

Smashing Pumpkins have some good songs.

I like John Denver.

I sometimes listen to one of the top 40 stations and like some of the dance music they play - good for the drive home.

I'm not really ashamed/embarrassed about any of the music I like (or dislike for that matter), I don't really care if you don't like the music I like. So I don't know what of the music I like I should be embarrassed about.

You're such a narcissist swift.
All people that care about others get embarrassed because they don't like the same music as someone else because that hurts their feelings. :P

It's not that I'm embarrassed or ashamed. It's that I'm aware that some people would look down on my choices. When I was younger, that bothered me. Now, I don't give a shit. If I like it, I like it. No apologies.

One of my guilty(?) little pleasures is a song by Shakira called the Hips Don't Lie. :P I am not so much embarrassed as I figure most people wouldn't believe that I like it.

Every time I drink slammers this song gets stuck in my head:

I never really knew you could taste like this
A bottle of 80 proof Souza is delish
Come and lick me, come sip me, and taste me tequila tequila.

Oh baby when you drink like that
You make my hangover go mad
So be wise and keep on drinking
Reading the signs of my swaying body I try thinking

And I'm on fire tonight
You know my drinks don't bite
And I'm starting to feel it's right
The lack of traction drinking all the booze I can sanction
Don't you see, this plonk is perfection

Hey girl I can see your two bodies moving
And it's driving me crazy
And I didn't have the slightest idea
Till I saw you skulling your beer.

I never really knew you could taste like this
A bottle of 80 proof Sauza is delish
Come and lick me, come sip me and taste me, tequila tequila.

You'll never hear this that song the same way again. :P

Shakira has an excellent voice, I stopped listening to her when she started doing the Britney Spears thing, which was about when she became popular in the US market :P

ROFL - I love the ring tone and the stop for Kebab on the way to fight the villains. I refuse to pay for ring tones. They only lease them to your current phone. Most of the time you can't transfer them to a new phone when you get it.
