The BBC just made a list of the Six most misunderstood songs of modern times.

The first one on the list is (predictably) Bruce Springstein's "Born in the USA"

Even Politico Magazine had a feature about it

I'll add mine.

Emerson Lake and Palmer - Lucky Man.

It was composed by Greg Lake and it sounds like a Ballad, until you listen to the Lyrics. It was actually used as background music for a Colombian Telenovela and had air time after that.

So these days when I listen to it, I always laugh.

CCR's "Run Through the Jungle."

It's not actually about Vietnam. It's about gun violence in the US.

Nights in white satin.
Most people think it's a song about two people in love and sex.
It's actually about a guy who's lover died.
"Letters I've written, never meaning to send"
Pretty powerful song that is completely misunderstood.

Is it Knights or Nights?

And yeah, I remember when you shared it with me. It's powerful and has a lovely melody.
