I've seen quite a few of his films, but not as many as I should. The first one I saw was The Graduate (helluva movie) but the first one I saw aware of who he was is his mini-series of the stage play Angels in America.
Too bad ignorance isn't painful.

Wow. I was going to go see what other movies I've seen by him and pick one. At least ten leaped out at me as movies I really loved.
