I honestly believe Chopin wrote this so that a person might sit at a piano in a crowded room, play the first few bars, gaining everyone's attention in a "Geez, I could play that" kind of way. And then ...

Whilst I can't help but admire the Romantic period, I also can't help but feel its pianists should have all had perms and played electric guitar.

Very impressive. Since I know little of Chopin's music never knew he composed something like that.

My piano teacher, who is far better than I'll ever be, says that there are 3 pillars of the piano repertoire: The 48 preludes and fugues by J.S Bach, the Beethoven Piano Sonatas and the entire works of Chopin.

Of that list, most people (that give up somewhere along the line) manage a couple of Bach preludes, the first movement of "moonlight" and the E minor Chopin prelude.

Holy shit! That gave me cold chills. Also, it's obvious that this guy spends so much time practicing piano, he can't be bothered taming his hair. ;)
