A mini-concert was just held downtown. Part of Yonge St. was closed off for the event. Meat Loaf was on hand for the launch. The musical will open in Toronto, in October. Currently running in Manchester, England.

Some of the cast performed: "Dead Ringer For Love", "For Crying Out Loud" (last verse), "Two Out Of Three Ain't Bad", "Love and Death of an American Guitar" and "Bat Out Of Hell".

You were there too?!

Wish I could say yes, but I wasn't there. Caught the performance on CP24. Looked good. Saw Meat Loaf in concert at Massey Hall, during his "VH-1 Storytellers" tour. I had awesome seats for that show. If I get a chance, I'll try to see the musical. From what was stated, it's basically been a work in progress by Jim Steinman for the past 50 years.

Swung by very briefly for like one song. Beyond crowded and it all smelled like pot. Plus not an obsessive fan or anything, so didn't stay long.

Yes.

There are several of his songs that I really like. I'd Do Anything For Love. Paradise by the Dashboard Lights. There are a couple of others.

I had the album. I liked the music. Great driving music really.
