Half of Steely Dan passed away over the weekend. I had an opportunity to see them a year or so ago and missed it. A combination of a bad date and insane ticket prices made me balk. Wish now that I hadn't.

A number of great songs and albums put out by them. I only have "Aja" in my CD collection. Heard Alan Cross mention on the radio yesterday, a good way to check out a music system, take any of Steely Dan's mid-late 70's albums on 180g vinyl, turn up the volume and listen.

Yeah, it's well known and well used in the circles I hung out in to take Aja with you when stereo shopping. It was one of the first CD's I owned when we made the jump to CD.
