Is a national treasure. At almost 83 his performance is amazing and awe inspiring. Plus, with his early bed time the shows don't run too late. That was helpful because we had to drive home from Dayton after the show. :P

He just commands your attention the moment he walks on stage. He holds the audience in his hand. The highlight: He belted out the lead licks of Cream's Sunshine of Your Love first with a drumstick then he beat it out snapping a hand towel across the strings.

One of the best. Usually during a show, he heads out into the crowd for the better part of song. Just a couple roadies and maybe one security guard go out with him just to clear a little path. But he is gone. The rest of the band is standing on stage playing back up. He's soloing and often times has a corldess mic and sings or engages the crowd from way back in a corner of the venue. Everybody loves it. I told an old rock and roll friend about it once and he said in the old days they had a string of roadies helping. Guitars weren't cordless then. They would have this massive reel of cord on a big spool like you see the electrical company utility guys with. He'd head out into the crowd and they'd let the cord out, then reel him back in 5 or 10 minutes later.
