He was always my favorite star ship captain... and he still is.

Well, that was just great. I have always liked Patrick Stewart for who he is as an actor. Now I have much more for which to admire him.

Like geonuc, I didn't know much about Stewart, other than his acting skills...

That was amazing though. I found myself clapping at my computer screen towards the end.

That was awesome. So doubly great to see someone standing up for the things that he wishes he could change... and doubly so honestly for facing why his dad abused his mother, and trying to do something for similar men.

Absotively posilutely wow.

The statements that NOTHING brought those attacks on, and that violence is never the answer, struck home (for lack of a better term).
In a different format, but a similar result, I am a victim of such a situation.
It has taken me over half a century to get a handle on what happened, and how it has affected my life in so many aspects.
I am better than I was, but I have a long way to go.

I applaud Mr. Stewart in his efforts to bring attention to these problems. I can tell from the image of him giving the questioner a hug
that he has been deeply affected, and is deeply committed to the support of the organizations he mentioned.

My respect for him has increased by orders of magnitude.

Really nice to see genuine passion on those topics from a celebrity. Too many of them have a cause du jour that talk about but don't really connect with.
