So I get up today and find a huge mess of toilet paper torn up all over the floor of the cabin.
SFC has a pretty bad cold and uses it to blow her nose and left roll a on the seat.
According to SFC, when she got up she saw one of our cats, Monet, lying in a pile of it she "killed" all proud looking at her with great satisfaction at her artistic masterpiece. You just can't even get upset at that.
Damned crazy cat! lol

My cat does that! It's hilarious. She's even done it with a roll on the holder. She just bats the whole roll down and tears it up.

Our boy cat does that all the time. We find him standing proudly atop the toilet seat with the whole paper roll unloaded onto the floor, just as an artist might do at their exhibition. Sometimes his claws cause the roll not to unload and it just becomes this shredded mass still on the roll. He's proud of those efforts, too.

Cats.

They are hilarious.
We really have got to fully understand the expression herding cats.
The laze around all day and when night comes out they go outside and are fully alert.
When it comes time to put them in at night we literally have to chase them around the boat to get them in.
Drives us nuts but it is still funny.

Today one of our furry little critters walks to where the food is and it's empty. She sits down next to it and waits patiently. She is a very patient cat. She brings ropes for us to play with her with and lays it in front of her waiting for us to notice. A very patient and polite cat.
So I put some food in the bowl. She does her little thank you twirl. Takes two tiny nibbles and leaves.
She's just reminding us that there must be food in the bowl at all times. Why don't you humans get it?

yes, you all have cats. cats that are busily doing cat things.

(I didn't expect to miss the cat this much but no more animals. they get sick. they run away. they die. they break your heart.)

Cats don't apologize. They always meant to do exactly what they did. Last week Phoebe jumped onto our bed, landed on a sliver of the top far too narrow to support her little body, rolled off the side, landed on the floor, (on her feet, of course) and was casually licking her side without concern when I looked down to make sure she was OK. All planned, just as it occurred. Even when she pukes up a roll of undigested cat food and hairballs, she manages to walk away as though she meant to leave sit right there on the footstool next to my feet.

"I meant to do that" is their motto!

now whenever one of our would do something ... graceless, like roll over and fall off the bed, it would spring to its feet and look around, affronted, as if to try to figure out who'd pushed it.
