Was standing in line down at Subway today. Place was packed -- everyone was grabbing a sandwich
in the midst of shopping.
A mom was there, ordering very specifically (this veggie, that meat, etc etc etc) obviously for young'un who was
nattering about this/that/the other...
They finally got to the register, and the kid assumed a very serious mien (with matching facial expression)
and laid down the line that had me and a couple others snorking into their sleeves...

"I want Taco Bell!"

...funny? oh yeah...

And mommy broke out her magic wand and turned him into this

It was a her, and I think Mommy grinned a bit too...

Yeah, I've seen that smile before, that small thin smile that female nurses have just before they lynch Fisher.......

Isn't that the same smile that proper Southron (not a misspelling) ladies use when saying "Bless yore heart..." while wanting to
tear said organ out and wave it in front of your face during your last seconds of consciousness?

Nurses, don't lynch people. They just make sure they use a dull needle when they give you a shot.

The funniest child food demand I've seen:

I came out of a Chinese restaurant with some office mates after lunch. There is a mom with a little girl walking by, the little girl is lying on the ground having a total meltdown tantrum, screaming at the top of her lungs "I WANT AN EGGROLL!!!"

Boy kids now a days....

I never threw a temper tantrum. None of us kids did. We weren't insane and knew what the result would be if we did.
Not saying it's right but fear kept us polite and courteous.

Bit like in the animal kingdom. When mama says shut the fuck up, you shut the fuck up or become a meal to something else.

I seem to remember raising my children with a lot of duct tape and dark closets... Cookie, however says that this is not true... I think she's lying to keep me from using this method on Poe....
