i saw an ad for a spatula with a built in light. for outdoor grilling at night. i'm interested in knowing whether y'all think that it's the silliest thing ever or want one.

No no no!!!
You should have plenty of light when cooking. That's very important.
A spatula with a light is just not going to cut it.
Get a stainless steel spatula that's silicone coated.
They are rated to 600DegF and safe on non stick surfaces.
We just ordered one because I'm tired of the cheaper nylon/glass ones melting.
