I've always found it strange how many evangelicals love Israel while disliking Jewish people. Talk about cognitive dissonance.

If you ask me, they simply want control of what is now Israel because it was the birthplace of Christianity. The Israel is a jewish state is irrelevant to them (for now).

Yes- I was always under the impression that it's because in the Bible the Apocalypse can't come about until the Jews are back in Israel. So they don't mind Jewish people as long as they plan to go back there. :roll:
