Please go read "Light from Uncommon Stars" by Ryka Aoki. Sci-fi with a trans protagonist, who is a violin prodigy (now you know why I read it- lots of violin world stuff), and a lot else going on with aliens and demons. Just thought you'd really enjoy it based off of things you've written here, and things said in the book. Let me know if I need more details to sell it, but don't want to give too much away.
