Met her last night- she was doing a book reading and subsequent signing here in Amsterdam.
What an awesome, strong woman- I know it's not surprising but she has the most wonderful dry wit.
Asked a question during the Q&A which was fortunate, as by the time she got to me in the book signing she was too tired to do any small chat so I didn't push it since I was about the halfway point. But hey, got a picture for proof and an awesome Christmas present for my sister (whose favorite book is Oryx & Crake), so that's good.
She's doing a whirlwind tour of North America after her European one, for those interested I'd definitely check her website to see if she's going to be in town!
Now to continue reading the new book that came out a few days ago, Maddaddam.
