Happy Birthday Buster! It is times like this when I wish we lived closer. Poe is 6.5 annual revolutions around the sun and it would be awesome if he and Buster could be BFF's.

No. No, I can't. And you've somehow managed to not age a day. What's that all about?!

Buster had a math packet he brought home from school last Friday. It looked like it was complete so I recycled it. That weekend I got an email from the teacher, to all parents, that the last page had homework. So I went to dig it out of recycling and told Buster he had to do it. He said, "I've been WAITING for homework!" Oh, I'm so proud that he's excited to do it. We'll see how long that lasts!

And for an equally moment of pride with Russter. I had seen the Moon when I was waiting for the bus with Buster, but by the time Russter and I got outside it was covered with clouds. I told Russter that, and she said, "That's ok, sometimes Lady Luna needs some time away from the Sun when she can watch tv behind the clouds on a couch." She is such an imaginative girl, and always rationalizing why different situations are "ok."

That is awesome!
The sun was shining on the sea,
Shining with all his might:
He did his very best to make
The billows smooth and bright--
And this was odd, because it was
The middle of the night.
The moon was shining sulkily,
Because she thought the sun
Had got no business to be there
After the day was done--
"It's very rude of him," she said,
"To come and spoil the fun!"
