Is there any way

to get rid of the "feature" that makes you check your post if someone posted while you were writing? I keep losing or almost losing posts as a result of this.

If it's a big hassle, don't worry about, but I thought it wouldn't hurt to ask in case it's something we can just turn off. :D

a. I'm not really sure what you're asking...
b. I don't think so...

I think this is how it works. I'm going from memory, though, since I haven't seen it in a while:

1) You click "Reply" in a topic to reply to a post.
2) After you have done this, but before you have submitted, another person clicks "Reply," writes a post, and submits it.
3) You finish your post and submit it.
4) The board software does not post your reply. Instead, it informs you that someone else has replied in the interim. It asks if you still want to submit your post.
5) If you click "No" (easy to do by accident), your post is lost.

SFC wants to know if there is an option for her to skip the board asking if she wants to post and instead just go ahead and post the thing.

That about right?

TSC - That's correct.

Oh... I never get that message... I don't think so... I'd have to root around in the back to find out... but that would have to wait till at least the weekend, and if you could PM me and remind me??

In the meantime... I'm off to do my Algebra homework... if you hear me crying... it's because things are involving geometry... This is not going well... I don't think...

There shouldn't be a whole lot of geometry in beginning algebra. I say this, because I loved algebra and hated geometry. Unless things have changed. :D

Good luck!

I am convinced that the best answer to most of these questions is 6, because the aliens don't like pancakes...

Other alternative answers:
- because fish can't see through milk
- because sheep live in trees
- because I love you.

I think the answer is 7, because it's a prime number :P

The answer is 42.

The answer is always 42.

You just have to determine the correct question... ...

I must not be as good a wife as brite, because she always discourages Fisher from "helping", and I always find it fucking hilarious when either of you "help".

Brite said 6, I said 7, 6 x 7 = 42. isn't Numerology wonderful? :P

The number which when arrived at is equal to the optimal biological attraction of the person observing the stimulus. If you are the average male it's usually a number between 3 and 93. ;)

93 is not Prime, you must have meant 97 :P

Any number then cannot be divided evenly by any number other than 1 or it self.

From Wikipedia: "A prime number (or a prime) is a natural number greater than 1 that has no positive divisors other than 1 and itself. A natural number greater than 1 that is not a prime number is called a composite number. For example, 5 is prime because only 1 and 5 evenly divide it, whereas 6 is composite because it has the divisors 2 and 3 in addition to 1 and 6. The fundamental theorem of arithmetic establishes the central role of primes in number theory: any integer greater than 1 can be expressed as a product of primes that is unique up to ordering. The uniqueness in this theorem requires excluding 1 as a prime because one can include arbitrarily many instances of 1 in any factorization, e.g., 3, 1 × 3, 1 × 1 × 3, etc. are all valid factorizations of 3."

Hehehehehe The Man's still wet behind the ears :)

Dirty little secret OldCM: Zee, Fisher and I, are sort of like the Triplets of Hell, known for playing ignorant rednecks (yes, I would be the Latin American version) in our spare time, I'd say it's 9 to 1 Zee knows what a prime number is, he's just "not helping" as brite would put it.

OTOH you might know that already and are playing along, that's the beauty of FWIS :P

No, I had no idea. So, if I catch your drift correctly, if you or Fisher or Zee seem to ask a question about information you probably already know the answer and I should just ignore it? OK. Can do. Now if I can just remember that for more than a week.....

Depends, if it suits your fancy you can join in and play the game (which will make brite roll her eyes), or you can poke fun at it like most around here do occasionally
