GRRRRRR!

Had a crappy day? Think your only friend is the dog? Got fired? Someone piss in your Wheaties? Just need to blow off some steam and rant? Here's the place to do it. No judgement, maybe some sympathy, possibly some advice... but definitely a safe place to go off on the world.

GRRRRRR!

Postby Sigma_Orionis » Thu Nov 20, 2014 12:23 am

Just bought two computers to replace the old pieces of crap my old man and I use.

Checking them out after I bought them my foot caught the power cord of one, went crashing on the floor.

One damaged hard disk.

Too pissed off to write anything else.

I can't say anything better than SFF's beautiful poem.

Now I'm trying to find a 500 GB SATA hard drive at a reasonable price, an imported item in a country where the exchange rate goes up hourly.

Just googling 500 GB SATA hard drive - they don't seem to cost much here. Are you looking to buy a solid state drive?

No, a standard SATA Drive, the prices here are currently crazy and I am unable to buy it directly outside the country

Soooo, how about if someone outside the country bought one and shipped it to you?

That could work, I'll have to see if I can find a courier service that can navigate through our crazy customs regs though.

I've found a supposedly new hard disk at a good price in a local ebay-like service. I bought it. If it's a dud, your solution could work.

Thanks dude.
