No antlers. Husband was guessing they were young bucks by their behavior.

That makes sense. When the does bring out their yearlings, we can usually tell which ones are bucks by their behavior before I put the binocs on them and see the buttons.

Well, a glorious spring weekend after a bit of a cool slow start. Then a hella thunderstorm last night a midnight that knocked me out of my chair. Strangely, no power outage. Got the truck and most of the mowers serviced. Surely more sticks to pick up because of last nights storm before rolling the yard, then servicing the old lawn tractor. I cannot remember ever...ever mowing the yard in March before.

Snow in April. It almost always happens around here. It did on Saturday. It was a sunny very brisk breezy morning. It clouded up and rain was expected. Sticks, branches, limbs falling out of the sky faster than I can pick them up. Then it sleeted on me as I was cleaning stuff up and putting stuff away. A little later, it was sunny, raining, and snowing big flakes at the same time.

There are already more occurances and predictions of snow this April around here than there were in March.
And I laugh...

2.6 inches of rain since Friday. And that's only up through 9:00 pm last night when I dumped the gauge while it was still pouring. I would have gotten more upset that it topped my driveway in two places except for the fact that water topped my road as well. Ducks and geese are thoroughly enjoying their large new lakes that used to be farm fields.

We had a lot of rain and/or snow in Northern California. The drought is still officially here but a lot of the water restrictions have been lifted or eased up. It's a shame we can't evenly distribute the over abundance of water/rain.

This weather is dumb.
Snow two days ago and 70's today.
Frost warnings (20F) overnight two days ago and now the overnight low is double the previous days high.
Thanks for all the fish.

Wonderful spring weekend. Sunny, warm, and beautiful. I did spend a bunch of it in a losing battle with brush and sticker bushes. My arms look like a heroin addict. And time at the hospital visiting my buddy. But that was time well spent.

I was amazed with all the rain we have gotten, how dry the soil was. At least in NW Ohio. Took The Kid on a college visit to the state up north. Farmers were working ground and spreading fertilizer. A couple times it looked like we were entering a dust storm. Maybe they didn't get as much rain up there as we have.

A couple thunder boomers last night nearly knocked me out of bed.

Turned nice and chilly this weekend. Frost warning this morning. I think it was warmer in March.

It was snowing around here. Yes, actually snowflakes falling from the sky. Only minor wet sticking to cars and grass, and it was all melted pretty quickly, but still....

I joked with several people that it was a fine day... for March.

I love it when you have to use the heater and the AC on the same day.

I have to say I've never actually done that in Northeast Ohio, but we've come close. I'm sure I've done so within a couple of days of each other.

This is probably the third or fourth time, in 28 years, I've seen May snow around here. My mother-in-law claimed she saw June snow many years ago.
