I try not to brag too much. But this makes me proud. Sunday night, Mrs. T, The Kid, and I attended a banquet (term used loosely) and ceremony for athletes that were named First Team All League in a fall sport. This was her third year in a row making the all league volleyball team. I know she worked hard and I know she's a good setter. (Setters get notice in Vball as the game sort of revolves around them.) Her team hasn't been that good in the past few years. And I know from experience that all league slots as well as player of the year go heavily towards the league champion teams. These awards are chosen and voted on by the coaches in the league. Which means coaches from winning teams noticed The Kid and selected her, from a sub-500 team, over their own players. Mrs. T remarked how many times the refs and opposing coaches commented and complimented The Kid to her at the scorer's table.
She was fun to watch. I'll miss it.
