It's 28 degrees F in Atlanta right now. Last year on this day we had record high temperatures (85/64).

The clouds burned off just as the sun set yesterday. :P

52F this morning. I forgot how uncomfortably cold that is. It's just cold all night. Horrible. I prefer it when it's about 20F instead. At least at that temperature you are cold for a little while then get all warm and sleepy shortly after.
Thanks for all the fish.

40 and rainy. Back to normal.
It was a pretty beautiful 4 days in NYC. Only Saturday was cloudy and misty.

You too! Wind is howling and the rain is sideways in Holland today, but guess it is the first day of spring! :)

Also, damn, reading a few of these posts at once make you wonder how the hell anyone can argue climate change isn't happening.

Simple. Ignore the data. Ignore anything that doesn't fit your world view. Viola!! :P

Chrystal clear skies last night mean temps in the 20's today. Back up to 60 in the next day or two. Grass is growing up in big patches, surrounded by bare mud. I'll have grass well over a foot tall in a week with no possibility of being able to mow it down. Especially with rain forecast for most of next week.

Well, in fairness, how many times have you heard people from various places in the world say "Don't like the weather? Wait five minutes." Capricious weather is not new.

I remember the crazy grass growth and inability to mow it at times as well. Then it was a pita to mow when I finally got the opportunity to do so. I no longer own a mower but that isn't an issue right now. :)

Beautiful morning. I love to be able to look down an east/west street right around the equinox and watch the sun rise directly east. Today it was accompanied by a crescent Moon.

Thunderstorm headed our way. Shutting everything down and picking the girls up from the ramp in the rain.
Fun all around.

I guess this is weather related: I have never ever, in my life, mowed the grass in March. It was more of a token or symbolic mowing, but there were plenty of tufts over a foot tall. I switched to push mowing last night as the ditch project I was working on would have gone in into darkness.

We are in the start of a heatwave. Doing anything is hard. It is so hot and humid we're all laying around miserable. Even a cold shower only cools us for a few minutes since the "cold" water is about 75F.
It will finally drop to a cool 79F on Saturday.
On the plus side, I didn't go swimming as I saw a largish bull shark near our boat. SO I didn't get eaten. Yay me. Means I won't be swimming much here though.

While I'm here, I'd like to rant about the weather forecast:
Today's high will be 83F. It is currently 86F and feels like 90F. The hottest time of the day will be in two hours.
FUCK YOU!!!
Thanks for all the fish.

Big bad thunder boomer last night after a sunny summer-like day. It seemed like it almost was going to get dry enough to mow. But on closer inspection, there were still 3 unwanted ponds and an unwanted stream in the yard BEFORE last night's storm. I didn't get a good look at it in the dark but it appears my ditchwork from over the weekend may have alleviated the ponding caused by the new finish grade of last year's tile replacement. I'm sure adding and grading some some fill at the high end of the problem area would still help.

Anyway, downpours last night, rain and plummeting temps today, snow showers predicted for tomorrow. 74 yesterday, 30 expected tomorrow.

Feels like 93, currently 87.
It will break tonight going down into the 60's and then in the 70's for the rest of the week.
It will be so cool to have a shower and not feel like I need another 5 minutes later.
Thanks for all the fish.

Nice snow shower on the way into work this morning. People freak out around here every time it happens but is has snowed in April 95% of the time I have lived in Ohio.

Today's low will be 65. It is currently 59. It was 57 not long ago.
How can anyone take a weather site seriously?
It's like politics. They say one thing while the reality is completely different, while they are saying it.
Is this a new trend?
