My inventor niece

My inventor niece

Here is a pic of the Cowgirl, my 10 year old niece, with her invention of the day, a satellite.

She went to Camp Invention this week and came home with some great skills. She brought the motor over to my parents' place, and knew she could find the right items she needed to make this from scratch. Every now and then she'd come ask my dad if he had something--like an eraser. In this case he didn't so she thought a while and figured that a cork would do the trick.

She has an amazing grasp for both engineering and art. I'm excited to see what she will become.

Just keep her away from boys while she is between 12-22 and she should turn out fine. :P

Rommie? Once you get back to the states, if you need a little spare pocket change, I think a sitter's position just opened up... :cheer:

Oh how neat- good for her!

Hey auntie, my advice is that you see she gets one of these for Christmas- link

That was my first ever crystal radio kit actually, so I have very firm ideas about how everyone should build one at some point and she sounds an excellent candidate. ;)
Yes, I have a life. It's quite different from yours.
